Our School - From the Principal

Narembeen DHS has an embedded culture of excellence and success. We provide all students with the necessary support to grow into resilient young adults with values that will ensure they are esteemed members of any community. The students' development in all areas is supported by a dedicated, professional and enthusiastic staff, who are committed to the school and the greater community.

To continue to be successful and build further on our pursuit of excellence, we need to work in collaboration as a team. Our P & C Association supports our students by ensuring we have additional finances and providing man power for busy bees. Our School Board contributes much to our planning and self assessment. We welcome and encourage the support and involvement of parents and the wider community in many aspects of our students learning.

Once again, I remind you all that Narembeen DHS has had outstanding results from our high school Year 9 testing for many years and after a lapse in 2012, we once again did very well in NAPLAN and WAMSE testing at this year level. Our results are testament to the high calibre of the teaching staff. We would love to see your child stay with us for their early high school years and I know that the education they will receive will be the equal of any in the state. Our Year 7’s became a part of our high school in 2011 and this strategy has proved to be successful with pleasing progress shown by these students in the Year 7 NAPLAN testing. Please consider us when planning for your child’s future education.
